Are you well?

Wellbeing is important because it makes everything GREAT!
Great for you personally but also great for you professionally. Our fantastic Marketing Manager, Nat, focuses on wellbeing and helps keep us all in optimum shape both mentally and physically. In this blog, she gently challenges you to consider your own wellbeing and explains how this will benefit you, your family, and your workplace and colleagues.
Keeping well is anchored by balance
Do you have the right work/life balance and do you work hard to keep the equilibrium?
Understanding the need for balance in your life is vital. Your time is important and choosing how you spend it is crucial. My advice is to implement boundaries to ring fence your time working and your time playing: the time for you and the time for others.
Wellbeing is what works for you – so prioritise it!
Are you making time for you?
What do you enjoy doing with your time? What fuels, inspires and ignites that spark in you to thrive when you are at work?
Maybe it’s spending time socialising and gaining energy from others. Perhaps it’s sitting with a good book, or spending time cooking. I say it’s whatever activity (or quiet time) that allows you the space to regroup and then focus when you return to your work space.
Do you know what activity works for you? Are you aware of what you need and do you prioritise it?
As we get older, we very often know what we enjoy doing and what allows us to relax, but after years of prioritising others, we forget to prioritise ourselves. And when we take our eyes off our own wellbeing, well, that’s when we get run down, over tired and sometimes, fall ill.
How can we help you with your own wellbeing?
Time management is tricky. We work hard here at Hour Hands to fill in the gaps and give you back the time to focus on what makes you happy – which could be spent in your personal life, on work, or with your family and friends.
If there is a task that simply doesn’t require your time, we are here to pick it up. You can then spend your time doing something that you are better skilled at or, simply, to allow you to enjoy doing something that fills you with happiness, allowing you to find the joy in your time.
