Lockdown, furlough and potatoes: Meet Natasha

From lockdown furlough payments and invoices, to Valentines surprises and gift finding – the Hour Hands team successfully delivers all this and so much more.

Looking back at 2020, here us Natasha’s review of the year, highlighting tasks we’ve successfully completed for our wonderful clients, whilst juggling our own lockdowns, homeschooling and moving offices!

Meet Natasha

Natasha is a Bookkeeping Assistant and is a natural whizz with numbers. She knows Xero inside out and effortlessly keeps track of all the admin relating to your bookkeeping and accounts.

It’s all about lockdown

My lockdown work has been focused on furlough payments. It’s not always a straightforward process and there have been many changes to the guidance over the past year, but it’s great to know that I am helping people to get through this time with money in their pockets.

Personally, I was overjoyed to be awarded my AAT bookkeeping qualification during the first lockdown. It was a lot of hard work but a tremendous sense of achievement especially as I was home schooling my young children in the lead up to my exams.

…and ensuring we have fun too

We work really well together as a team and we’re all up for a bit of banter. The team regularly reminds me of one of my funnier mistakes from this year. A wonderful client of ours sells packaging to fruit and vegetable suppliers. My task was to go through all supplier bills and match them to the sales invoices by products which I was happily doing, linking the invoice for Romaine (a type of lettuce) to the potato file. I’m never going to be allowed to forget this one!
